An exhibition that fascinated visitors beyond the items on display
The attraction that Westerners have had for Eastern culture throughout different periods of history. An ambitious exhibition that involved a journey through time and through different areas (furniture, crafts, art,…). The project took up a large part of the Museum Hall, transforming the spaces from the entrance hall itself. From the torii or traditional Japanese arch that welcomes visitors, through Hokusai’s The Great Wave, to the installation with dozens of maneki-nekos or good luck cats, each exhibition area surpassed the previous one in fascination.
